Alpian Pratama has conducted a number of research studies on children and youth disaster risk education, social capital, community institution, and remittances of migrant workers in several areas of Indonesia. Currently, he is a researcher at Resilience Development Initiative (RDI), Bandung, Indonesia. He graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand with a master thesis about the potential of school-based disaster education to strengthening a family resilience. Furthermore, Alpian has been exposed to a set of skills on statistics, qualitative research, geo-information system, and ability to do research in social research independently. He also actively writes articles for international and national journals and presents conference paper, both international and national conferences.
