Dr. Ekoningtyas Margu Wardani is an expert in Environment, Agriculture, and Forestry Resilience, holding a Doctorate degree from The Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Leiden University, The Netherlands. Her doctoral thesis, centered on food security among the Orang Rimba in Jambi, focuses on the transformation processes within contemporary Indonesian hunter-gatherer communities.

With a wealth of experience, Dr. Ekoningtyas has served as an independent consultant, researcher, lecturer, and specialist for organizations such as ASEAN, showcasing her diverse expertise. Her work spans various fields, including resource economy, sustainable livelihood, natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, national park management (including ecotourism), food security, indigenous peoples, disaster risk management, gender mainstreaming, and public policy.
